Christine Edwards is a gifted musician and harpist who is very experienced in performing at all types of events including weddings and special occasions. She has studied the pedal harp at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and also the Scottish harp or Clarsach. Christine plays a Salvi Diana concert harp which makes a grand impression. Plus her Scottish harp is a Pilgrim Clarsach that is perfect for smaller functions or venues with limited space.
Christine has been lucky enough to receive the prestigious John Sebastian Morley prize at the International Harp Summer School in 2009. She has played in traditional band Ceol Mor for the past two years. Plus, attended the Edinburgh International Harp Festival for the past five years and a graduate of the traditional music course Splore at the Aberdeen International Youth Festival. Plus many masterclasses throughout Europe.
She is also an accomplished teacher and regularly gives workshops not only on the harp but of the music of Scotland.
Her music is extremely expressive and she clearly shows a great passion as a harpist and her music covers a vast range of styles to suit any occasion including genres such as traditional, classical, popular music and her own compositions.
This harpist will truly bring a magical quality to any wedding and provide the perfect atmosphere for romance. Each performance can be tailored to your own choice of music and style.
