How to Choose Between a Live or Semi-Live Bands

Live Bands - these are usually from a 4 piece upwards and the musicians play and sing your favourite music live, using their own wonderful voices and playing their hearts out live using a range of instruments.

Bands will always bring their own sound equipment, so you don't need to supply anything for them. Often, they will also bring lighting and stage sets. They may have changes of costumes during the evening, usually during their break half way through the evening.

Semi-Live Bands - usually a duo or trio that sing and play along with backing tracks to give you a full and rich sound. Usually the main vocals and lead instruments are played live. A great alternative to hiring a large band and much more suitable to small spaces and venues.

Obsession

50's through to current chart hits and ceilidh. Obsession gives you the magic of a totally live five-piece sound taking in a fantastic range of favourites, from the 50s all the way through to this weeks charts. They're five musicians with huge experience from broad musicial backgrounds who love making your day special. With Karen's powerful vocals and Ian's distinctive sax you'll have their distinctive yet versitile sound to keep your guests dancing all night.

Unusually for a pop/rock covers band Obsession also play a surprising range of lively ceilidh dance music including all the popular dances such as the Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant and Strip the Willow.
