Gail Ritchie is a fantastic vocalist with a vast repertoire ranging from jazz classics to chart hits and a great deal of performance experience. Whether you are looking for the perfect singer for your wedding or just to add something special to your event, Gail is able to provide exactly what you are looking for.
Gail has a great personality and ability to judge an audience to see what music would be perfect for them. Gail sings a huge variety of styles of music including cabaret, musical theatre, pop, blues and soul. She sings to backing tracks and is happy to take requests before an event.
She is able to sing for your wedding ceremony, during pre-dinner drinks, during or after your meal and is very flexible in her approach.
Although based in Glasgow, Gail is willing to travel throughout the UK and further afield for performances.
Gail started her singing career at the tender age of 17 performing with the extremely popular 'Gypsy Queens' band in Nice, France. With the Gypsy Queens, Gail travelled across the Cote d'Azure and northern Italy, singing at a huge variety of functions and events.
Whilst in Nice she performed daily at parties, weddings and festivals - inlcuding the premiere of 'Calendar Girls' at the Cannes Film Festival, the Monaco Grand Prix and the birthday of Prince Albert of Monaco.
Gail then moved to London where she focused on musical theatre, starring in 'Anything Goes' at the Greenwood Theatre. Solo performances range from various musical theatre revues to fashion shows and charity events.
After moving to Glasgow, Gail joined the 'Glasgow Gospel Choir, and continues to sing regularly at events across Scotland as a soloist with the choir.
Recent performences have included backing vocals for the 'Young Soul Rebels' at the 2009 MOBO awards held in Glasgow and the main stage of the 2010 Wickerman festival.
Gail has supported Afrobeat legend Tony Allen at The Arches, Glasgow as part of the Bassa Beat Collective. She performs regularly at weddings, parties and events throughout Scotland and brings a fabulous energy each time she steps on stage.
