String Quartet
Select Strings were established in 1999 and have many years experience in performing for weddings, playing at churches and reception venues across Britain as well as many other functions and corporate events. All of the lively quartet members are graduates of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and have performed with many of Britains leading orchestras. Previous clients have included the BBC, HRH Queen Elizabeth II, Scotlands First Minister.
Select Strings can cater for any situation, from background music to church hymns, from Mozart to Sinatra. You name it, Select Strings can provide it. One of the unique things about the quartet is the range of their repertoire which is updated regularly. Past clients are always extremely impressed with how versatile the quartet is. You can request a particular piece of music for the group to arrange if it's not already on their extensive repertoire list.
Select Strings realise how important it is for you and your guests to enjoy themselves and for you to leave a lasting impression with them. This means Select Strings will always play music which is suitable for the occasion - if your event is generally quiet and laid back, they'll play music to match. If everyone is after having lots of fun, they can easily match that mood as well.
Select Strings can tailor a package for your needs - whether that is a ceremony, a drinks reception, a meal or all three, they will always match the music to your event. Select Strings can also play hymns during your ceremony if you prefer not to have an organist, or if you just love the sound of a string quartet.
