Julia McGrory
Pianist
Born in Belfast, Julia McGrory has been involved in music since the age of 6. She graduated on piano from the RSAMD in Glasgow in 1997. While living in Glasgow she performed extensively throughout Scotland with singers, instrumentalists and choirs, including Caroline Dickov (soprano) and Margaret Aronson (mezzo-soprano), Rosemary Townhill (cello) and the Glasgow Youth Choir.
In 1999 she accepted a teaching post on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia where she worked as a teacher, accompanist and performer at the Saint Lucia School of Music for 7 years. She has recently returned to Scotland where she works with the National Youth Choir of Scotland Area Choir in West Lothian and at Cargilfield Prep School in Edinburgh.
As a wedding pianist, Julia has a wide repertoire of styles from Classical to Broadway and beyond, which will suit most musical tastes.
