Fute, Clarinet and Bassoon Trio
Patricia Melville-Mason studied clarinet under Professors at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and the London School of Music. In her youth, she participated extensively in the Edinburgh musical scene and through the International Festival she met and learned technique from renowned clarinettists such as Jack Brymer, Pamela Weston, Alan Hacker and Gervase de Peyer. In the Faucheldean Trio she plays bassoon.
Heather Guild studied flute with Albert Honeg and Peter Lloyd while doing a BMus and ARCM, she has performed the Reid Orchestra, the Northern Sinfonia and the Fife Sinfonia as well as theatre orchestras from Eccles to Stonehaven and a wide variety of freelance chamber combinations.
Catriona Melville-Mason is the principal music arranger for the Faucheldean Trio and has performed for such luminaries as Her Majesty the Queen, Cherie Blair and Santa's reindeer in various combinations of the Schnicklefritz German Oompah Band, amateur musicals and various community bands.
