Jazzamataz
Jazzamataz is a group of some of Scotland's best know jazz musicians led by drummer Alastair Morrow. Although based in the Edinburgh area the band travels all over Scotland and abroad. The line up is flexible enough to supply a jazz trio playing standards for dancing or just background, or a bigger quartet or quintet including Sax, Trumpet, Guitar and/or vocals.
Louise Dodds - Jazz Vocalist
Louise Dodds is one of the best and most professional jazz vocalists in Scotland. Her vast repertoire ranges from the well loved standards of the American Songbook, through to modern contemporary songs. She's sure to impress your guests, plus her jazz band will give you some fantastic jazz music, including easy listening, upbeat swing and big band classics. Your band can include vocals, piano, bass, drums as a base plus you can add in clarinet, saxaphone and trumpet - possibilities are endless.
The Richie Keane Quartet / Quintet
This dynamic ensemble really brings to life all the classic Jazz and Swing songs and tunes from Ella Fitzgerald, Gershwin, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck and draws on those classic Blue Note jazz recordings. This band combines the country's top jazz musicians providing a stunning example of ability and a musical groove wide enough to lose yourself in.
Sweet and Lowdown
After a chance meeting Jane Marie and Graham formed a wonderful musical partnership that not only blossomed into a marriage of hearts and souls but also emerged as an expression of mutual love for 1930's style French jazz, blues and soul. Expressed with an intimacy and warmth that they share between and hopefully with you. Blending the sounds jazz guitar, with Jane Marie's command of lyrical expression and nuance, the result is unique and personal.
Swing Guitars
If you like gypsy jazz and the music from movies such as 'Chocolat' you love this! Scotland's pre-eminent guitar duo 'Swing Guitars' came together through a mutual admiration of the music of gyspy guitarist Django Reinhardt. This music is the most perfect music for weddings as it will make your heart soar with joy and lift the spirits to the heavens!
