Alina Bzhezhinska
Harpist
Alina Bzhezhinska is an international harpist based in Edinburgh. Her diverse repertoire encompasses classical, folk and jazz music. Alina also arranges and composes jazz music for Harp and Clarsach (lever harp).
In 1995 Alina was awarded a Masters Degree in Arts from the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland and in 2002 gained her Masters Degree in Classical and Jazz Harp Performance from the University of Arizona in the United States.

Alina has been performed with some major orchestras in Europe. Early in her career she played with the Young World Symphony Orchestra and the Young German Philharmonic Orchestra, later, with the National Opera in Warsaw, Poland and the Scottish Opera, UK.
In 2001 she has recorded a CD and DVD with American harp ensemble Harp Fusion. In 2005 Alina has started her own Record Label 'Amadeus Records' and her new solo CD was released in April 2005 and has featured on Classic FM.
Alina now enjoys a successful solo career throughout the United Kingdom, giving regular public recitals in addition to freelance orchestral engagements. She recently performed at Scottish Parliament, The National Gallery of Scotland and Edinburgh Castle.
She is currently a harp tutor at Loretto School in Musselburgh.
