Duo Concertante is an exciting young duo offering beautiful flute and guitar music from classical masterpieces and passionate Latin American rhythms to well known and innovative modern works.

Sharon Dowsett and Adele Neilson are both talented and moving soloists in their own right, and as a duo have performed in recitals and events around Scotland, England and further afield as well as in masterclasses and competitions. They’ve both performed on BBC Radio.

Adele began playing the guitar at the age of 8 and has since become one of Scotland’s top young performers, winning the Chanterelle Guitar Prize and the NESCGS Award. She’s played solo concerts in London, Mantova, Italy and around Scotland. Sharron studied music at Kings College with flute tuition from the Royal Academy of Music, going on to win Birmingham Conservatoire’s prestigious postgraduate prize.

Together they bring out a new beauty and refreshing depth to the sound of flute and guitar, playing wedding favourites such as the Wedding March and delighting your guests with Beatles songs among less well known but no less enchanting classical and latin pieces played with fire and grace; outstanding.
