Ceilidh Minogue are an enthusiastic, high energy Scottish ceilidh band that never fails to make ceilidh a success. The ceilidh band is based in Scotland but plays all over (from Tiree to Bahrain!!) and was first put together in 1995. They can provide a 3, 4 or 5 piece band depending on what your wedding or function dictates. They will 'call' the dances and also provide disco or background music during intervals, or afterwards.

Ceilidh Minogue was first formed in 1995 when a bunch of friends got together for a very impromptu session on Boxing Day at a musical evening organised by the local recording studio. The following year Ceilidh Minogue was christened. The band has many musical influences. Apart from traditional Scottish and Irish music, there's also rock, jazz and cajun and these can be heard in the style they play. A fine selection of tunes including some originals by band members, and a driving rhythm section ensure this.

They play all the well known ceilidh dances and many more besides. Ceilidh Minogue will call the dances so that newcomers to a ceilidh can join in and not feel left out.

A ceilidh is meant to be a social gathering with drinking and dancing. The emphasis is on enjoyment and fun.

Ceilidh Minogue can provide a disco also for your evening entertainment and they always carry some disco music but if you need a full blown disco with lights and sounds, then they can arrange that for you.
